Introduction March, 2016

Having decided we would like to do more walks this year, we thought it would make the experience more worthwhile if we were to try to get more donations for Velindre Cancer Centre along the way. We were so successful with our Wales Coast Path fundraising at almost £5,500 that we thought it would be a bonus to try to add to that.

We are walking The Mortimer Trail (30 miles), Ludlow to Kington, starting this coming Saturday 12th March and (hopefully...) finishing on Monday 14th March. Having only managed a few walks over this very wet winter which seems to be coming to an end now, it is already quite a daunting task....

Next we are walking the Anglesey Coast Path in April having so enjoyed it as part of the coast path walk. That will be a further 125 miles and we will follow that over the summer with the Kerry Ridgeway, a mere 15 miles one day walk and then Glyndŵr's Way, about 130 miles which we will take in sections as we did with the Coast Path and Offa's Dyke.
